“The Matriarch” – Female Bison Sculpture

This cow bison was sculpted in the frigid cold one winter while inside the truck near our home north of Yellowstone and observing a small group of females. The eldest of which was this stoic matriarch whose stiffened gait and outwardly projecting tail spoke to her age and a long series of events throughout her life.
