Swimming Beaver

Depicted right at the moment it's about to deliver its greatest insult — the slap of its tail  — is this study of North America's largest rodent. This is both an exploration of water in motion and this most industrious rodent. If you position yourself next to the pond of an active beaver colony early enough in the evening, you may see them starting their evening shift, but don't move, or else you'll get the slap!
