“Contemplating the Millions” – Bull Bison Sculpture

This is a study of a bull bison overlooking Lamar Valley in Yellowstone amid the scattered herds. I was caught by the timeliness of it and thinking back to a time when much of the American West would have been covered with scenes of vast herds spanning horizon to horizon.
