Got a bulls*^t artist in your life? Or, be honest… Are YOU the bulls^*t artist? If so, here’s your award!
Our world today feels increasingly crowded with half-truths, distortion, and noise. In times like this, I return to my constant guide—nature. The bison, in particular, have a remarkable way of handling the nonsense of the world: when it builds up, they simply let it go and move on.
The inspiration for this sculpture came from watching bison in the Lamar Valley. I had been observing the herd, expecting to witness sparring or interaction, when instead I saw something else entirely.
A massive bull rose from his wallow, dust swirling around him, and with the full weight of his one-ton body, hunched over, lifted his tail, and relieved himself. Then, without fanfare, he trotted off to continue his day. There was a quiet wisdom in that moment—an embodied reminder to release what no longer serves us and keep moving forward.
This new sculpture captures that spirit. A pocket-sized reminder that when the weight of the world builds up, sometimes the best thing we can do is simply let it go.
"A Little B.S." is an edition of 30 and measures 3.25"l x 1.75"w x 3"h
